Sustainable Humanitarian Aid
Ouena's approach towards helping revolves around sustainable aid. Our approach is multifaceted and we try to find solutions for crises and ongoing humanitarian issues in Palestine.
What this means?
Ouena finds and develops projects that it then applies your donations towards. The goal is to provide opportunities that allow the beneficiaries to discontinue their dependance on humanitarian aid.
What does this looks like?
Ouena has helped its aid recipients start small business that provide them with a sustainable source of income. For example, we have recently completed projects that include a water distribution system that generates revenue on an ability to pay basis. All revenue collected is used to the better the community that the water distribution system is in. Over 200 families were directly benefited from this project.
Ouena has helped multiple families start small business in Gaza. Recently we have helped various recipients start a bicycle shop, a clothing stand, and a corner store.
Ouena provide families in need with housing repairs and helps provide housing for homeless families in Gaza. Ouena also sponsors the living and education costs of destitute children in the Gaza Strip.
